October survey results: What kind of impact has a mentor had on your life?

In our last issue, we asked "What kind of impact has a mentor had on your life?"  Most readers, 39 percent, responded that a mentor had a profound impact on both their personal and professional lives.  There were two answers that came in with 22 percent of the vote: "Major impact on my career, but not my personal life" and "I've never had a mentor.”  Another 13 percent of respondents indicated that a mentor had only a little effect on their lives, and the remaining four percent stated that a mentor had a major impact on their personal lives, but not their careers.
