Hiring Managers:

When readers of UpSide were asked how they attract top candidates, two responses were tied for the most popular answer: "Offer opportunity for professional advancement" and "Comprehensive benefits package" each came in at 42 percent. Next in line at 21 percent was the answer "Substantial salary." Sixteen percent of respondents stated that they would offer to "Reimburse for additional training."

Candidates:

When readers of UpSide were asked "What makes a job offer attractive to you?" the most popular response, at 26 percent, was "Substantial salary." Twenty-one percent of respondents chose the answer "Offer of opportunity for professional advancement." "Comprehensive benefits package" was the third most popular choice, coming in at 16 percent, and five percent responded with "Additional training offered."
