New SALO Company Launching Contract Placement
Service April 10, 2006

OBERON TARGETING GROWING TALENT GAP IN HUMAN RESOURCES; INDUSTRY VETERAN CJ DUBE´ TO LEAD PROFESSIONAL SERVICE FIRM

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN., – April 10, 2006 – Oberon, LLC, a new SALO, LLC affiliate specializing in senior level contract placement in Human Resources, officially launches on April 10, 2006. It will be headed by CJ DuBe´, a 20-year veteran in placement and outsource services.

“The Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) notes that 50-percent of the Fortune 50 alone will lose half of its senior management to retirement by 2011,” DuBe´ says. She adds that human resources, like finance and accounting, is a field where the demand for talent is well ahead of supply. “Companies will need to run leaner and smarter in filling key HR positions,” DuBe´ says. “Oberon can provide just-in-time contract solutions, offering the most qualified senior-level candidates. Our goal is not only to help companies find and bring in top senior-level HR talent as needed, but also to help clients manage their own talent more efficiently.”

DuBe´ joined SALO, LLC in January 2006 as Director of Business Development. She spent the first quarter of the year refining the model SALO had researched for three years. As a result, Oberon’s official launch date finds it with a well-established network of HR stars who are already in high demand and at work with several leading Minnesota companies. “We’re off to a quick start helping reduce the time, cost, and lost opportunities that can pile up when companies conduct a search,” DuBe´ says. She notes that SALO’s established presence in finance provides additional opportunities to find and share talent that companies need.

“CJ is uniquely qualified in the HR category,” adds Amy Langer, SALO co-founder. “HR plays a critical role in businesses of all sizes and types. We expect Oberon to keep growing quickly under her leadership. The demand for Oberon’s services is so high, we have placed seven consultants before the doors opened.”

One of Oberon’s first clients characterizes DuBe´ as “a dynamo who has a network that doesn’t quit. She also is very strategic in her work, capable of weaving a vision for a corporate culture into a workable plan.”

SALO co-founder John Folkestad echoes client confidence in DuBe´. “CJ understands that top talent can positively impact a company's operations and bottom line,” Folkestad says. “She knows who the top talent is and how to place the right people with the right companies. We’re excited to be working with her in a market space that is underserved.”

About CJ DuBe´
During a 20-year career in placement and outsource services, CJ DuBe´ has handled both project and search functions for a broad range of job descriptions: finance, engineering, accounting, IT, legal, and banking. After working for several small and mid-size companies, she joined a large international staffing firm. Three promotions later, she was running five of its direct hire divisions – and wondering what her next move would be.

Inspiration struck – in the form of an MTC bus – that t-boned her car at a downtown Minneapolis intersection. Black and blue, but with no broken bones, DuBe´ says the lasting impact of the accident was, “Knock-knock—what are you going to do with the rest of your life?” DuBe´ embarked on a year-long “research project,” (while working off a non-compete contract) serving as a talent management consultant, helping clients improve their talent acquisition and management function. “There are a large number of opportunities in the market for people who can find top talent,” she reports. Although other companies beckoned, DuBe´ chose Oberon as the best place to utilize her placement background and entrepreneurial skills.

About SALO, LLC
SALO specializes in accounting and finance placement both on a project and an interim basis as well as senior level financial search services. Founded in the fall of 2002, SALO rapidly grew to $21 million in 2005. SALO’s more dramatic story rests with the value that SALO and its sister companies bring to the people it places and the companies it serves. Profound changes in the American workplace have made staffing issues complex. A growing segment of professionals in today’s workforce demands greater flexibility and lifestyle accommodations, plus more measurable job benefits and satisfaction. Companies likewise are looking at short-term contract employment as a more cost-effective means of doing business. But they still require qualified candidates and people who truly fit and can bring more to the enterprise than just stopgap skills. SALO fulfills those requirements by offering strategic value for:

  • SEC Reporting
  • Taxation Research and Compliance
  • Finance
  • Treasury
  • Management Accounting
  • Internal Audit
  • Project Resources
