ENTREPRENEUR MAGAZINE NAMES SALO, LLC A TOP 50 FASTEST-GROWING WOMEN-LED COMPANY IN NORTH AMERICA

MINNEAPOLIS, MN, NOVEMBER 1, 2008 – Six year-old staffing firm SALO, LLC ascends once again to the national stage with the announcement that the company has been named the 13th Fastest-Growing Women-Led Company in the U.S. and Canada by Entrepreneur Magazine and the Women Presidents' Organization (WPO). SALO was named #1 on the list in 2007.

This fall, Entrepreneur and the WPO embarked on their inaugural three-month search for the Top 50 North American women-led businesses. Each company had to meet specific criteria established by both groups. The primary goal of the program, according to the WPO, is to highlight the economic impact and success of women-led businesses in the U.S. and Canada.

“To be named once again on such a prestigious list as the Fastest-Growing Women-Led Companies in North America is truly an honor,” said Amy Langer, Co-Founder of SALO. “While building a business certainly has its challenges, there are no words to explain just how great it is to watch it grow,” she adds.

Entrepreneur and the Women Presidents’ Organization solicited applications from women-led businesses in North America and considered companies in the United States and Canada that are both privately held and woman-led. Companies under consideration also needed sales of at least $1 million in 2007. They were then ranked according to a sales growth formula that combines percentage and absolute growth. From this list, the top 50 were selected – all of which will be featured in the November 2008 issue of Entrepreneur.
