Joan Foley
Senior Accountant
Joan Foley is as energetic and outgoing as she is professional. A sports enthusiast, Joan enjoys playing softball, volleyball, running half marathons, and serving as captain of her kickball team. As the firm’s Senior Accountant, Joan is responsible for month-end close procedures, payroll and financial statement analysis and reporting. “At SALO, I really feel like I get to experience the best of both worlds,” says Joan. “I’m able to utilize my technical side of accounting with a phenomenal finance team, and work in an environment that is active and fun!”
Before joining SALO, Oberon and NumberWorks, Joan worked for Boulay, Heutmaker, Zibell & Co. as an Audit Associate and later an Audit Senior. In these roles, Joan was responsible for completing all audits and reviewing engagements for both private and public companies in a variety of industries. She also supervised staff on audit and review engagements and trained new staff members in accounting software and auditing procedures.
Joan is a graduate of Winona State University, where she received her degree in Accounting and Business Administration. She is also a member of the Minnesota Society of CPAs and serves on the Board of Friends Care Hearts Share, Inc., a small non-profit organization that raises money to cover medical expenses for local community members with life-threatening diseases.
